Hukam (Command)

Say, what lies with a man to do or not? Only the Lord causes to happen what He will.

If man had the power, he would seize everything to himself. But he can do only what the Lord wants done.

Not knowing this, man dwells with illusion, For if he knew, would he not save himself?

But deluded by doubt, he wanders in all directions, And rushes forth to explore all the four continents.

When, however, out of His Mercy. God grants His love, Man absorbs himself in the practice of the Name.

Traducción:

Di, ¿qué le corresponde a un hombre hacer o no? Sólo el Señor hace que suceda lo que Él quiere.

Si el hombre tuviera el poder, se apoderaría de todo. Pero sólo puede hacer lo que el Señor quiere que se haga.

Sin saber esto, el hombre mora en la ilusión, porque si lo supiera, ¿no se salvaría a sí mismo?

Pero engañado por la duda, vaga en todas direcciones, Y se lanza a explorar los cuatro continentes.

Cuando, sin embargo, fuera de Su Misericordia. Dios concede Su amor, el Hombre se absorbe en la práctica del Nombre.
